Wilkins: Bellerin Now Natural Setback
Chelsea football legend Ray Wilkins believes Hector Bellerin is slowly starting to look bad on the pitch.
Previously, Arsenal right-back is rated among the best is where in addition to being able to survive well the player also has the advantage in helping the attack from the back line with a fantastic speed.
Even after seeing the glittering performance of the La Masia academy, Barcelona is openly looking to repatriate it and the Spanish giants are hoping that although Hector has signed long-term contracts with the Gunners and the North London club are reluctant to take them off but they want the player to join soon Nou Camp. Because El Barca desperately need his services.
However, after watching the action in the game last weekend where Bellerin made a fatal mistake in the area of the penalty box by dropping Richarlison in a 2-1 defeat over Watford which took place at Vicarage Road. Wilkins believes the 22-year-old player has suffered a setback.
“What I’m saying is that when I first saw a young man like Bellerin coming into English football, three, four years ago he had a dynamic pace,” Ray Wlikins told the media.
“He is on the pitch and I do not think he will be like that by Richarlison.
“Richarlison got the last touch, there was minimal contact and he left, but unfortunately minimal contact in a modern match like this could mean getting penalty views.
“If I see Bellerin has a natural setback where it is not like the players I saw first three or four years ago.
“To be honest the player is one of the best defenders I’ve seen in a year.
“He’ll never experience such a situation.”
Meanwhile, Bellerin best performance in 2015-2016 competition where at that time in addition to his position is not replaceable in the right back line of the player also successfully helped Arsenal finish in second place Premier League standings.
